To become a verified trauma center, hospitals must meet rigorous national standards—like having trauma surgeons evaluate
patients within 15 minutes of arrival. At McLaren Macomb, that’s not good enough. We understand that minutes make a
difference. That’s why our trauma surgeons are in-house 24/7 to evaluate each trauma patient immediately upon arrival.
McLaren Macomb is Macomb County’s first verified trauma center. We are also the only hospital in Macomb County to have
trauma surgeons at the hospital every day, all day. Because when it’s someone you love, 15 minutes can be a lifetime.
Follow up care: In addition, trauma patients may be seen for follow-up care in the hospital’s Trauma Clinic,
located at 36500 Gratiot, Suite 102, in Clinton Township, just south of 16 Mile Road.
